Class Information

 

The Yoga In Daily Life (YIDL) system consists of 8 progressive levels of Physical Exercises (Asanas),
Breathing (Pranayama) & Relaxation Techniques  (Yoga Nidra) and Meditation – starting with basic
and simple, yet effective, exercises that enable everyone to appreciate the benefits of Yoga,
regardless of age, ability or background.
 
At the London YIDL Centre you may attend Casual Classes on a drop-in basis with a variety of payment
methods, or participate in the more comprehensive Courses, which need to be booked in advance.
The Centre also offers various Workshops, Cultural Events and weekend Seminar & Lecture programmes
with His Holiness Paramhans Swamiji Maheshwarananda.

Conc. = concession prices available for those who are unwaged, retired, full-time students,
receiving state benefits or who feel entitled to a concessionary rate due to their circumstances.

Casual Classes: ongoing “drop-in” classes, no bookings required

Beginners / Level 1 – the first stage of the YIDL system known as Sarva Hitta Asana,
“exercises good for all”, for those who are new to yoga or who
prefer a more gentle, relaxing class.
General / Levels 1 & 2 – progressing to stronger & more contemplative techniques,
once the body & mind are comfortably prepared by Level 1 exercises.

Intermediate / Level 3 – advancing further, for those who have completed the
YIDL Intermediate Course or have practised Yoga In Daily Life
regularly for 6 months or more.


Meditation Classes – peaceful meditation, pranayama & gentle yoga asanas to awaken body, mind and soul.

Wake Up Yoga – energising asanas and pranayama to make a positive start to the day/week. 

Back Care Yoga – to prevent & relieve back pain.  Gentle Yoga – a gentle class for those aged 60 and over.

Pre-Natal Yoga – yoga, relaxation, meditation & breathing techniques for a healthy pregnancy, labour,
birth & motherhood. Women at all stages of pregnancy welcome, regardless of previous
yoga experience.
Relaxation & Meditation simple effective techniques of Yoga Nidra relaxation, gentle asanas
and meditation, to de-stress and find peace of mind.

progression in your practice of Yoga in Daily Life.
